Camp just gotta end. :(
But I had tons of fun (despite getting injured badly).
Okay, I know this post is a little bit long-winded and have very little pictures, but I hope you will read it if you want to know about my experience in camp. I didn't bring my camera with me, so I grabbed pictures from Julia's blog, Yee Lei's blog, Kelly's blog, Smun's blog and Wee Jui's blog.
Day 1, May 1
Got up late (6.30 am). Ate Maggi for breakfast and Sis woke Mom up to send us to school. Met up with the rest in the canteen. Chatted awhile until Xia Shuen called for line. She briefed us about the rules and stuff.
Although the bus had arrived after 8 am, we still have to wait for the teachers who weren't in school yet. So, we just put our luggage in the bus and line up. Wei Qin was the first person to queue up, then followed by the rest of us. We lined up earlier than the rest cause we wanted the back seats and we got them!!! Me, Wei Qin, Guo Hao, Sis and Justin got the 5 back seats of the bus! Xia Shuen came around and asked us to pick a name from the bag full of papers. We would have to take care of our Togepi, the person we picked. And others will be taking care of us, without our knowledge.
In the bus.
After eating Kinder Bueno and Chipsmore for breakfast, I slept. I know I am such a pig, but I was tired and energy was needed for the busy day ahead of us. I "borrowed" Wei Qin's shoulder (I hope his left shoulder doesn't hurt). Halfway through the trip, Guo Hao got uncomfortable, so he sat on the floor of the bus. Then, Wei Qin did the same. So I got to sleep on 3 seats, which made me sleep in a very comfortable position. Guo Hao leaned his head on my leg to have some shut eye and Wei Qin leaned his head on his seat and slept too.
Qin sleeping. Yours truly sleeping like a princess. xD
Guo Hao sleeping. Sis joining in the pic.
We reached Dusun Eco Resort around 10.30 am (if I'm not wrong). We waited for the jeep to come and take us up to the resort (which is located waaaaaaaaay up on a mountain). It took the jeep such a long time to come and take us, and I was desperate to pee that time. So when the first jeep came, I was given a privilege to ride with the Mudas to go up first.
While waiting for the jeeps.
Spot me. :)
As soon as the jeep stopped at the lobby/canteen of the resort, I hopped off the jeep and ran towards the toilet. The Muda guys even let me use the toilet first. They're such sweet people. :) Then, the second jeep came and we waited for the rest of them to use the toilet before we head to our campsite.
The guys waiting for their turns to use the toilet (I think I was in the toilet).
OMG, I tell you, the campsite is located so damn far away from the lobby/canteen. We got to walk 3 flight of steep stairs up with our luggage alongside. I thought I was going to die climbing up the stairs. The campsite has tents prepared for us, but not ready to be used. We divide ourselves into groups of four or five and pick a tent. Me, Kelly, Wen Min and Yee Fung shared a tent. So, we went and cleaned our ground sheets and tents which are filled sand and damp with water. Took rafia strings and tied the tent. Then, put our luggage in the tent.
The freaking long way up the campsite. x(
This, is where we slept.
Gathered in the hall and ate lunch. Gosh, lunch was TERRIFIC! It was so good that I even helped Julia ate part of her lunch since she can't finish hers. After lunch, we cleared up and started our class.
We went for rappelling at 2 pm. The rappelling building is 15 feet/meters tall (I don't know which one). I was feeling weak in the knees and the memory 6 years ago when I fell down badly on the playground ladder was fresh in my mind. The Remajas were the first ones to go cause we were running out of time and it is compulsory for us to do this in order to pass our Jaya Diri exam.
*shudders*
When it was my turn to get up there, I was shaking. Yes, literally. I took such a long time to get my ass of the platform. The guide was telling me to squat and lean back like you're free falling, but I can't. I was so terrified that I cried. Zhen Ni was like telling me that I can face my fears, but I kept crying. In the end, I know that it would be so damn embarrassing to walk down the stairs and tell everyone that I couldn't do it. And I have to do it in order to pass my Jaya Diri badge. It's like a do-or-die thing. I gathered myself and leaned back, feeling the fresh cool breeze tickling my neck.
As I got off the platform, others down there were cheering and clapping. I felt encouraged, so I moved on. I pushed myself to complete the task, but I didn't do it the correct way. Thank goodness I didn't bruise myself when I was completing the task. Everyone was in a shock when they saw me crying after completing the task. I was so proud of myself. I managed to face one of my greatest fears.
A few moments later, Zhen Ni came down with tears rolling down her cheeks too. She, like me, managed to face one of her fears too. I gave her a hug and told her that she did well, but she said that she was an idiot and all. It was so sad to see her not so proud of herself. I felt bad for her. Really.
The Remajas were allowed to go back to the campsite after completing rappelling. We were allowed to shower and get ready for dinner. So, me, Kelly and Yee Fung grabbed our toiletries and headed to the showers together. Some of the girls who tested the temperature of the water said that the water is ice cold and they decided not to shower, but just give themselves a wipe. All the girls didn't dare to shower, except for me. I couldn't stand it if I don't shower for a day. Despite the freezing cold water, I felt so clean and refreshed compared to the other girls. Oh, oh, we sang I'm Yours by Jason Mraz in the toilet! Xia Shuen told us she could hear us from the hall. xD Grabbed my jacket from the tent and headed to the hall for dinner. I can't remember what we had for dinner, but it was delicious too. And the place where our envelopes with our names written on it was flooded with people cause everyone was busy writing notes/messages to their respective Togepis.
Then, we continued with our lessons. Halfway through our lesson, a cockroach landed on Wen Min's hand. She threw her log book and it hit Denise on her head, and ran around the hall, screaming. Me, Yee Fung, Zhen Ni and Kelly got up and ran to the front where the council members sat. Sis jumped on a chair beside Xia Shuen. Everyone who was afraid of cockroaches darted away and screamed. Xia Shuen was laughing cause it was so funny seeing all of us, especially Wen Min, freaked out and running around the hall, screaming. A few minutes later, another cockroach landed on the floor beside where Wen Min sat. And again, the chaotic scene repeats. We took such a long time to settle down from laughing.
After the lesson, we had and ice-breaking session. We asked questions and listened to answers that Xia Shuen told us. It was rather interesting, I would say. While talking, we heard this weird quack sound and we all got freaked out.

Yours truly in the hoodie with her hands covering her face.

The talking session.
The Mudas were asked to leave the hall about after 11 pm and we Remajas were allowed to stay there and study or go back to our tents and sleep. Most of us stayed at the hall and studied while munching on biscuits. We went to sleep around 12 am cause we decided it's better to get some shut eye as the next day will be extremely tiring.
Went back to the tent with Wen Min, Yee Fung and Kelly. We tried so many sleeping positions to make ourselves comfortable. Our tent site had roots of those huge trees and an uneven ground. Then, we heard Wei Qin, Guo Hao, Wen Hao, Kelvin and Justin laughing so loudly. The next moment, Dhanesh punished all of them except Wen Hao, who escaped cause Dhanesh assumed he was still recovering from the fever he had. I slept uncomfortably through the night.
Day 2, May 2
Kelly's alarm rang at 6 am. As soon as Poker Face was heard, both Kelly and I got up. Then, we woke Yee Fung and Wen Min. Goodness, they are dead-sleepers! I pushed and slapped and shook Wen Min for such a long time until she got up. Kelly woke Yee Fung up. Along with our toothbrush, toothpaste and facial foam, we went to the toilet bundled up in our warm jackets. The water is so much COLDER at 6.20 am! But because of hygiene purposes, I still have to brush my teeth and wash my face.
Had breakfast (I forgotten what we ate) and then had morning inspection. For the first time in my life, I actually laid out ALL of my stuff like that:
This was Yee Lei's stuff. It's just to give you a brief picture on how we laid our stuff like that every morning.
Yeah, this is how we do it. Shirts, pants, toiletries, stationaries, food, shoes, socks, comb, salt, medicine, just whatever you bring you have to display for the morning inspection. The objective of the morning inspection is to air our tents. Oh, before I forget, we have to take out our tents during morning inspection and put it back like how we did when we first arrived.

Back to this.
After the morning inspection, we gathered down at the assembly place to prepare for jungle trekking. I was excited, nervous and scared. My first time, man. We were divided into 4 groups. I was in the first group. Xia Shuen was number 1, Kelly was number 2, Justin was number 3, I was number 4 and Wen Hao was number 5. Hang Kasturi was together! Some other patrols were mixed-and-matched and guys were put in between girls. After we were divided into groups, we started our jungle trekking. Sadly, Wen Min and Xi Yuin didn't join us.

Before starting the jungle trek.
Wonder why do we have to be numbered? We were not allowed to be called by our real names cause we are not in our home. And we can't simply say out stuff or bad words or even talk if it is not necessary. No pictures from jungle trekking cause no cameras allowed. But towards the end, we were talking and laughing.
Throughout jungle trekking, Justin took care of me since he was in front of me. Halfway through jungle trekking, he helped me carry my backpack cause my back was killing me. And he helped me up and down steep slopes as well. Without him, I would probably end up with a terrible backache after jungle trekking. But, he was the first one to get his Nikes wet in the river! Then, I got my Nikes wet and filled with sand from the river. There, I twisted/sprained my left ankle and right foot. At two different time. Anyways, thank you, Justin, for helping and taking care of me throughout jungle trekking. Oh, and Zhen Ni showed her love for the environment by "hugging" a tree. :D
The track was about 3 km long and we took nearly 3 hours to finish it. Towards the end of the track, the pain at my left and right leg was killing me. We rested at pondok and waited for our lunch there. I had to ask Eugene to take me some ice from the cafeteria to numb the pain.
Me (beside Justin) with an ice pack, treating my injured legs.
Group photo.
(I am in between Wei Qin and Guo Hao, below Kelly)
After I was done with my lunch, I hopped my way up to the campsite to change to shorts cause my track pants were soaking wet and I smelled like the river. Eugene accompanied me to the campsite. Oh my goodness, I never walked so slow in my life before! Then, I hopped my way back down and join the rest of them. We were divided into two groups: one group is doing the marble task in the pool and another group is doing the flying fix first. I was in the group doing the marble task first.
Xia Shuen threw 21 marbles in the contaminated pool. 3 people from each patrol have to work together to find as many marbles as possible. Since Wen Hao's fever came back, Justin, Kelly and I did the task. Our hands and legs are tied together, and the rafia strings went around our waists too. So, it's like we're stuck together. And even it was hot that afternoon, the water in the pool is considered freezing-cold water to us. All of us who went down were shrieking as we went into the water. Looking for the marbles was quite a tough task cause the water is green and contaminated. Wei Qin was the only daredevil to open his eyes when he dunked his head in the dirty water to look for the marbles. I tried, but ended up my eyes hurt like crap. I don't know how he can do that. All we found was RM1.20, stones and 5 marbles if I am correct. Obviously, Wei Qin's patrol (Hang Tuah) won. Then, the others joined us in the pool and we went splashing around. Wen Hao wasn't adviced to get into the pool with us cause he was still having a fever although he wanted to. After negotiating with Xia Shuen, he dived into the pool and joined us.
We played in the pool for a long time until Xia Shuen realized that the other group wasn't back yet. So, she sent someone to check it out and we came to know that the guide wasn't there at the flying fox place. Sad case, none of them get to do the flying fox. They joined us in the pool and we had some fun in the pool. A person would have to sit on another person's shoulder and push others down. Kelly sat on my shoulder cause she was light as a feather. I sat on Wei Qin and Justin's shoulder and I swore I nearly killed them. I know I am so damn heavy and fat, unlike Kelly and Yee Lei who are light as papers. After more and more splashing sessions, we took pictures!

Next, we went rafting! Wen Min and Xi Yuin didn't join us for this too. We were divided into groups of 8, I think. My team mates were Justin, Kelly, Wen Hao, Yee Fung, Wei Qin, Zhen Ni and Yee Lei. Together, we built a raft after we were briefed. We were only allowed to use 7 long bamboos, 3 short bamboos, 25 ropes, 4 kayak sticks and 6 empty tongs and given a time limit of half an hour. But obviously we didn't get to finish it by 30 minutes. We took about 45 minutes I guess. While building the raft, we told each other to prepare to get into cold water again cause our raft is going to sink.
As soon as we were done, we lifted the super heavy raft to the man-made lake which is only as deep as the length of the kayak stick (the guide lied to us, saying that it is five feet deep). Only five people were allowed on the raft at a time. But, Wen Hao didn't get to do this cause he wasn't feeling well, sadly. We had a relay and I went for the second round. Before starting, we tested the stability of the raft and whether the raft was able to support our weight before starting. When it was my turn, I sat beside Wei Qin in front. He nearly pushed me down into the lake. I told him I would kill him as soon as we were done with the task if he really did push me. As I sat on the raft, I thought we were sinking cause the water level was until my waist length. But, no, it was meant to be like that. Xia Shuen's team was leading on the first leg, then our team led on the second leg and we won the relay (as in getting back safely, duh). None of our rafts spilt, thank goodness.
After getting the raft out of the water, we need to take out all of the knots and place back the bamboos and ropes and tongs at their respective places. Then, we headed back to the campsite, showered and get ready for our Jaya Diri theory exam and Malam Kebudayaan/ Cultural Night (MK).
My left ankle got worst after I showered, I don't know why. So, I had to hop wherever I go. Wei Qin, who was kind enough, offered to piggyback me. He took me back to my tent and nearly offered to piggyback me to the toilet, but I declined the offer and went with Kelly. So, thank you best friend, for being my horse and not charging me RM 10 like you said. I had a cramp too, when I was eating dinner. It's just so random.
The written exam started at 8 pm. It was okay, I sat on a chair cause my ankle was hurting so badly. Finished early, so I managed to get some shut eye before MK. Right after the exam, Kelly, Wen Hao and Justin demonstrated and filled me in on what our patrol will do for the sketch and role call. Oh, oh, oh; I LOVE our role call. It's so commercial-like! We sound like we were promoting our patrol. And our sketch, "The Sick Boy and The Injured Girl", was dedicated to Eugene, who took care of me and Wen Hao throughout the camp. Justin was the narrator, Kelly as Eugene and me and Wen Hao played as ourselves! Halfway through MK, it drizzled and everyone ran back to their tents to make sure the tents were secure and tight. No one let me go help to keep the laundry or make sure everything was okay. Hmph. They insisted that I stay put, and Wei Qin didn't want to piggyback me to the tent, so I stayed put at the hall as instructed. After making sure that everything is okay, we continued on with MK. Played the remote game or whatever it was called. It's something like the "penyakit" game also. The funniest thing was Eugene stepped on a praying mantis when he was hopping around. OMG, it was so bloody disgusting! MK ended and the Mudas were asked to sleep earlier than us. We were given a choice to stay in the hall and listen to some ghost stories or have some shut eye. I, of course, choose the second option.
Went back to the tent with Kelly, Wen Min and Yee Fung. To our surprise, out tent was flooded. Thank goodness our bags were dry. Took our sleeping bags and "tumpang" tents with others. Me and Wen Min went over to Zhen Ni's tent. Yee Fung joined the Mudas' tent. Kelly was in Yee Lei's tent.
Since I couldn't sleep and I heard Kelly and Wei Qin talking at his tent, I took my jacket and joined them. They were eating some snacks and just talking. We had a heart to heart + girl talk too, even Wei Qin was in. Thank you Kelly and Wei Qin for listening to me ranting. I really do appreciate it. We slept at 2 am when everyone left the hall.
Day 3, May 3
Someone's alarm woke me up at 6. Then, I woke the rest up. Wen Min, like the previous day, couldn't get up. We sat in silence in the tent until about 6.30 am cause we were all freezing cold, then we went to wash up together.
Went back to visit my flooded tent cause we still have to do morning inspection at our tent.
Tent mates.
The guys lending us a hand to put our tent up.
<3
Had breakfast, and then Xia Shuen revealed our Pikachus. I was surprised that my Pikachu was Aaron, a guy in my class! I felt so bad for writing on the board last night about my Pikachu stalking me. And he sent me SO many notes to apologize. I felt so damn bad...
My Togepi, Zhen Ni, well, she knew that it was me since Day 2. She said I make it too obvious to her. -.- PICTURES you all have been waiting for!!!!!
[WARNING: WEIRD AND CRAZY POSES AHEAD]
Formal.
Informal.
Remajas of 104th Scouts. We are crazy, just like that. (:
Love this pic.
Mudas and BOD.
Then, it was time to leave Dusun Eco. Wei Qin helped me with my luggage while I take my time walking down the steep steps.
Upon leaving, we had time for another group pic by the pool.
I wish I could be up there too. ):
The jeep I rode in. Again, I'm in the first jeep cause they gave the priority to the disabled. -.-
104th Scouts invaded McDonald's to have lunch!
We took pics with a group of tourists from Norway. :D

FOOD!!!!!
In the bus after lunch, I was so hyped up that I couldn't sleep although I was exhausted. Me and Yee Lei ended up laughing like we were mad, and that's when the laughing marathon started. Me and Yee Lei couldn't stop ourselves. We did stop, but after 3 seconds of silence and when we look at each other, we burst into laughter again. Xia Shuen wanted to take pics of those who were sleeping and she shushed the both of us. We took our bags and pressed it to our faces to not laugh out loud. Then, after she was done, Yee Lei broke the silence by asking, "Can we laugh back now?" and the whole bus burst into laughter along with us.
We reached back to school in no time. Aw man, I was bummed out that that's the end of our camp. :(
I've learnt so much from this camp and it gave me a good experience. Hopefully, there will be one next year. =)
P.S: Kelly, Wen Hao, Justin; I L-O-V-E our role call.
Rating: 8/10
Rating: 6/10
Watched those two movies with Mom, Dad and Sis over the weekend. Loved Night At The Museum: Battle of The Smithsonian. It was funny, like the first one. The best thing is the Jonas Brothers make a cameo as the voice of the cherubs! At first, I didn't realize until the camera zoomed into the cherub in the middle, and it looked like Joe Jonas. Then, I remembered that they had a small part in the movie and it sounded like him. I was right cause they sang Lovebug too! OMG, and the song played when the credits were rolling, Fly With Me, is really beautiful. 8D
Terminator Salvation was okay. I am not much of an action-packed fan. I just remembered shutting my eyes whenever there were disgusting stuff (organs of the human body, for example).
