Last week, I disappeared.
I WENT TO PERTH, AUSTRALIA! :D
Well, my parents were on a buisness trip to Margaret River, so they want to make it a family holiday as well. WOOOOT! I was suppose to update from Perth, but Dad did not allow me to bring my MacBook there in the last-minute and there aren't any free wireless in Perth. Believe it or not, you got to pay if you use the wireless in the hotel there. And please, do read the description or whatsoever that I typed instead of just looking at the pictures.
Have fun reading about my journey in Perth! (;

We woke up late on the morning of March 30. Our flight to Perth was scheduled at 9.10 am. The clock was showing 6.30 am, and I just woke up. Quickly, I washed up and packed my toiletry bag into my luggage and dragged my luggage downstairs. By the time I arrived at the bottom of the stairs, Chien Chien Jie Jie, my parents' employee who went there with us, were already at our doorstep. I helped Sis to drag our luggage to the front porch before the cabs arrived so that it will be easier to lock up the house later. After locking up, I hopped into a cab with Grandma and Chien Chien Jie Jie while Mom, Dad and Sis were in another cab.
It was indeed a beautiful morning when we arrived in KLIA. We waited for the rest to arrive to check-in. After checking-in, we went through the immigrations and walked around the airport, hunting for something to eat. Finally, we settled to have breakfast at O'Brien's.
Sis. :)
Yours truly in front of the sandwich bar.
The service we got from the cashiers there wasn't good at all. They gave the Britain family sitting at the table beside us such a good service, but they gave us shitty service. Our sandwiches didn't arrive until Mom charged up the counter and asked for our sandwiches. We ended up only eating a plate of sandwiches and shared a glass of orange juice. But the good thing is, they gave us two packets of potato chips for free. I shrugged, took the potato chips and walked away. Well, at least they apologized, too.

We arrived at Perth International Airport about 3 pm. To my surprise, the airport is smaller than what I imagined. We stopped by the duty-free shop before going to the immigration. I was lucky to spot a cute sales guy arranging Absolute Vodka on the rack. He has messy blond hair and a pretty cute smile.
The immigration there is freaking strict. If you have any food or drinks, you either discard or declare it. If you don't do both, you will get fined if you are caught. And there are hush puppy dogs sniffing your luggage before entering the immigration for drugs. Of all dogs, why hush puppies? They are SO cute!
Then, we met up with this lady from the travel agent at the arrival hall. She was supposed to fetch us to the hotel located in the City Centre. Well, at least we saved loads of cash on taxi fare. Dad talked to her through our activities and stuff. Then, he called the person-in-charge in the vineyard to confirm our visit to there the day after tomorrow.
Mom and Sis while waiting for Dad to finish.
Then, the lady showed us the way to where her van was parked. And to our surprise, she had this huge metal box with wheels attached behind the van. She thought that we are going to bring huge luggage and maybe about 12 of them. She looked at us and our luggage, then gave the "Ooops" look and laughed. Mom was saying that she think we are orang kampung (villagers). We laughed at that for quite some time in the car.
We got the first glimpse of Perth on our way to the City Centre. The houses are simply gorgeous. The housing area is so goddamn peaceful and lovely. The parks are equipped with skateboard ramps, slides, swings, see-saws and a nice walking path. Oh, the schools. So much more canggih than schools in Malaysia.
Perth City Centre is quite small. It's like the size of Petaling Jaya. Small, ain't it? Checked-in at Aarons Hotel and dropped our luggage in our rooms. Me, Mom and Dad shared room 413 while Sis, Grandma and Chien Chien Jie Jie shared room 313.
The room has an air-conditioning the size of a mini refrigerator and we received the TV remote control along with the room key. The bathroom is tiny but there's a plasma TV. I rate the room 4/10.
We walked down the street to have early dinner since I was hungry. Early dinner, as in, after 5 pm. We decided to have Korean food at Took Be Gi, and we met the lady who drove us to our hotel from the airport having dinner with her friend there. And we camwhored while waiting for our food.
My Kimchi Bibimbab.
After filling our hungry tummies, we decided to take a walk around the City Centre. By evening time, the air is more chilly than daytime. I put on my scarf and jacket as soon as we stepped out of the restaurant.
The almost-dead streets at 7 pm.
We headed back to our hotel a few blocks away since it is already dark at 7.30 pm. Had a hot shower and watched some TV. I fell asleep while watching some gymnastics movie at 8.10 pm.
That's our first day in Perth, folks! Keep reading my blog for more updates. Have a good day! :)
