Vineyards, How They Amuse Me.

Sorry for the SUPER DUPER LATE delay. Blogger is really lagging these days. Hmph. Anyways, here's the update on out third day (April 1) in Margaret River, Perth.    =)

Sadly, we're leaving today. Goodbye, awesome service apartment.  ='(

I automatically got up at 7 am sharp without any alarm clock or noise that annoyed me. For the first time in my life, I woke up myself without Sis calling me up! Yipee!!! Grabbed my jeans and t-shirt and head to the showers before waking Sis up. After Sis finished showering, I woke a blur Chien Chien Jie Jie up at 7.30 am. She was probably still feeling groggy because of the beer the last night.

The three of us took a walk around the township area as promised the previous night. By the time we hit the streets, it was still empty and quiet. Only a few restaurants and shops were open that time. Passed by Dome Cafe, but the cute cashier/waiter was not there. Maybe his shift is not that early.  ):

We walked aimlessly around that area, gawking at the beautiful homes and cottage-like bed-and-breakfast we passed by.

We stopped by a memorial park for some pictures of flowers and chill out awhile.

The post office.

A jaw-dropping gorgeous suite we passed by near the post office.

The place where we wanted to go that morning to get "something". LOVE THIS PLACE.  ;D

Stopped by at Dome Cafe to get some coffee for Mom before heading back to the service apartment.

When we arrived back at our room, Grandma was already awake. Well, apparently Mom and Dad were still dead asleep. So, we started cooking breakfast. Chien Chien Jie Jie fried eggs and vegetarian sausages while I cooked some soup. Sis just opened a can of peaches and started eating. Oh well... I'm used to her not giving me a hand.   =P

Grandma having some soup.

The blur parents who just woke up.

The best orange juice ever tasted (so far).

Vegetarian sausages made from tomatoes, garlic and several herbs. DISGUSTING!!!

The cold peaches that made me hyper.  :D

Me. Dad. Sis.

This is how we got to each other's rooms: by climbing the balcony!

Me and Sis cleaned up the kitchen and did the dishes after eating while the rest of them get the luggage packed. Went to the reception to leave our luggage there and confirm our transport to the City. Then, Dad ordered a taxi to the vineyard later. Yes, we visited a vineyard! That's what the whole trip is all about.

Adjusting the video camera.

Sis gulping down the carton of orange juice.  xD

Mushrooms!

Wacky.  x)

Smiley. Pouty. Smoochy.

Coffee versus orange juice.

(:

Went for a short walk since we have ample of time before our tour to the vineyard. Went into Target Country cause Sis and Dad want to buy some more.....

...mini Easter egg chocolates!!! They're SUPER delicious, especially if you are a chocolate addict. Heh. And the "something" that we wanted to buy.  *evilgrin*   OH OH OH! And the cashier on-duty that morning is a very cute guy named Josh.    xD

But Mommy wasn't happy with us for buying more chocolates.  :(

Chien Chien Jie Jie, our video camera woman the entire trip.  :D

While we stopped at a health shop, Dad sent me and Sis to the post office straight up the road to get some stamps as a collection.

Cool van, huh?

We saw this very obedient dog tied up outside a restaurant. I think its master was having breakfast and since pets are not allowed in there, it has to be outside. But this dog didn't bark at anyone that passed by or pat it. It is a friendly dog.  :)

Australian post box.

After getting stamps, we walked back to the service apartment about 10.20 am cause our taxi was scheduled to pick us up at 10.30 am. The lady taxi driver was very nice to us. She answered our questions and told us a little bit about the area's vineyards.

At last, we arrived at the Leeuwin Estate Winery! The place is cooling, the air smelled like wine. It's an awesome place, I tell you. It is more than 1 000 acres wide. Wow factor, right?

The outdoor amphitheater, where a huge concert will be held every summer. Huge artists will be there to perform. As what Mr Travers said, the entire field will be filled with music lovers from all over the world, mostly youngsters, and the tickets will be sold off months before the event.

Mr Travers telling us briefly about the history of the winery.

Pictures of artists who had performed there before.

Sting, who performed in 2005.

The adults (excluding Grandma).

Chien Chien Jie Jie.

Half-posing, half-candid.

Dad L-O-V-E-S taking pics. He can take up to nearly 50 pics per day.   O.O

A retarded-looking moi!

A young kiddo playing rugby himself.

Twins.

Here's a pic of Dad laughing! 100% CANDID!!!! (He looks cute, huh?)

Mom. Dad.

Father and daughter(s).

The tour of the winery begins, NOW!!!!! YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!!!!!   xD

The historical wall.

Plantation of the grapes.

The logo, I perhaps, and some presentation thingy.

International acclaim by famous people and books.

Snapping pics and listening to Kerry/Kerri (I don't know which is correct), our tour guide.

Behold.....

Behind the wooden doors.

The huge machine is what I call, the grape-picking machine (I forgotten the actual name). The entire space inside smells like wine. I was feeling a little bit woozy as soon as I inhaled the smell of alcohol.

The lab where new flavors and stuff are tested.

A very tall wine chiller.

A row of those cool tall stuff!

Sis fascinated with the ice-cold chiller.

The ancient....... forgot what is this machine. Whoop-dee-doo.

How the wine barrel is made.

Example of the wine barrel used.

Huge tanks and barrels of wine.

One of the steps of the preparation of wine.

The place where the grape juice is put, I guess. Sorry, short-term memory.

Grape skin. It tastes like... wine.

Next, the tour of the example of a wine cellar underground (we're not allowed to go into the real one for safety reasons).

Eerie feeling in the wine cellar. It was rumored to be haunted.   O_O

I was a daredevil to take a pic like this while the others were already making their way upstairs to the reception.    O.O

Wine tasting.

Dad let me try some wine, but we were stopped cause I'm under 18 and the laws in Aussie is waaaaaay strict than back here!!!! WEEEEE!! At least I don't need to drink down some alcohol that killed my empty grumbling stomach.  -.-

The alcohol got me hyped up, I think.

Cuuuuuuuuuteeeeeee!

The retard. The half-drunk.

Finally, LUNCH AT THE VINEYARD'S RESTAURANT!!!! Mine you, it's bloody fine dining.

When the waitress asked what water we wanted, all I heard was spring water. So, I just said spring water cause I was the only one who paid attention to what she was saying while they were busy talking. And I didn't know spring water was San Pellegrino. OMG, it's SAN PELLEGRINO!!! Mind you, our table is the only table who ordered San Pellegrino, the expensive water that tastes like mineral water. WAKAKAKAKA. I felt rich that time.   xP

Our appetizer.

Mom and Grandma's entree. Fish of the day with asparagus and mashed potatoes with cheese.

I erased the pic of my chicken twice, and I got fed up of uploading it for the third time. I'll just show you next time, if I remember.   (:

After lunch, Grandma stayed at the lobby while we went to the vineyard to see for ourselves.

The lake with ducks.

All of us got so excited that we started running towards the vineyard.

Dried red grapes.

Beautiful white grapes.

The row of grapes.

Amused.

Mom.

:P

The parents.

Us all hyped up.    xD

I miss the smell of the fresh grass there.  ='(

Hyper.

Family pic.

Sis and the posters of the wine label Kerry/Kerri gave us.

Cause she's retarded like that.  ;)

We walked to the main entrance of the vineyard since we were finished early. FYI, the distance between the vineyard and the main entrance is about 2-3 minutes drive. Yeah, it is that far. But we met up with the taxi driver halfway there.

She was kind enough to stop by the road for us while we took pictures of the signboard.   :)

Dad filled her in about our tour in the winery, and even mentioned that we didn't get to see red grapes there cause they were all rotten. Again, she stopped for us at another winery further up and let us have a look of beautiful red grapes. We were considered trespassing the place, but thank God we were not caught. Phew.

Beautiful red grapes. My first time seeing grapes from the plant itself.

Dad stole some to let us have a try. IT IS SO SWEET!!!!!!

By the time we arrived, our transport home to the city was already awaiting for us in front of the reception building as soon as we were dropped off. We collected our luggage and our 3 hours journey back to the City Centre begun.

In the van, the driver (guy from the travel agency) had food, water and Coke. During the whole drive, he kept drinking Coke and munching on food to keep himself awake. But he put on songs from musicals and Disney movies that will make him even sleepier. Then, he stopped by a pier for us (more of like for himself) for about 20 minutes. We walked about the shore, inhaled some fresh air and I got to work as the photographer.

Not so nice pictures of the seagulls cause they're all scared of human beings.

Grandma, Dad, Mom, Sis. Loves.

I took this right at the time the birds took flight. Love this pic to bits.  :D

The beautiful pier.

A seagull's feather I picked up from the ground.

We continued our journey without no more stops until we nearly reached the exit to the highway that led us to the City Center. Stopped by a petrol station for petrol and toilet break. To my surprise, the toilet have a vending machine for condoms too, besides than sanitary pads. I should've dragged my DSLR in the toilet so that I can show you guys about the description written on the machine.

The first sunset I caught in Perth. Simply wonderful.

Click to enlarge. The white dot in the picture is the moon. Amazing, huh?

We (finally, hallelujah!) arrived at the City Center after 8 pm. Damn, I couldn't stand it if we gotta sit in the car for a little while more. No offense, his driving skills is super horrible. Once, I nearly feel out from the seat and roll onto the floor of the van cause he slammed the breaks so hard while I was napping. Had Chinese takeaway for dinner. Doze off while I was indulging in the book I was reading.

Oh, and check out this girl, Krista Nicole. She has an awesome voice, and she's only 14! Another talented girl I've found on YouTube.
