No, I am not crazy. I am dead tired (who isn't anyways?), but I just... got up early.
I woke up to a quiet Saturday morning. No banging of pots and pans, or a mother screaming for her children to wake up to go to school. Peace and serenity filled the air. Ah... The beauty of a Saturday morning.
I made my way to the living room and found out that I have the whole house to myself, except Sis, who is still asleep upstairs. Grandma had gone to the morning market, Mom and Dad had left for Tapah to fetch my maternal grandparents. Me? Well, here I am.
A Saturday without any co-curricular activities is a bliss, for now. No, I am not saying that Scouts is a bore to me, it's just good to not need to get my ass to school exactly 4 days before the mid terms begins. I have been going for extra tuition classes the whole week from 3 pm until 8 pm, except yesterday. I stayed back until 10 pm, then went for supper with Mom and Dad. Oh yes, now you can call me crazy cause I never thought that I could stand the more-than-5-hours-of-studying routine.
I feel so free this morning. For the mean time. Later on, I would have to do the laundry and mop the floor. At least this weekend Cinderella only gets to work in the mid-morning, and she can stay in her pajamas and blog. And the best part of the weekend? My maternal grandparents are coming down.
I miss my maternal family members so much. I just took some time off my weekend with them two weekends ago, but I am already missing them dearly, my maternal grandma, especially. And Mom told me that she misses me and Sis, too. Mom has four others siblings. An older brother, two younger brothers and one younger sister. I have five cousins from Mom's side: four are boys and only one is a girl. I am closer to them compared to my paternal family members. Mom's older brother lives in Kota Damansara, her second younger brother and younger sister lives in Kelana Jaya and her third younger brother lives in Cheras. Living so close to each other makes it easier whenever we have gatherings or just a simple meal together, even when my maternal grandparents are not around.
My aunt's boyfriend had told me that as I grow up, I will tend to drift apart from them. He said that I will be busy in future with my studies and keeping up with my social life. He advised me to cherish every single moment now, cause the future is unpredictable. No one knows who and how will I be in a few year's time. Even at this stage, I am afraid that I will neglect them. I am tied down with my life. From keeping up with school to participating in events to spending quality time with my family members. I am scared that a change at this age will make me different from who I used to be. It is good if I change for the better, but what if I am a bad girl next time? What if I become one of them party animals or social freak? Ugh, I don't even want to see myself like that.
Maybe I should just loosen up a little bit and focus on the present, not the future. It's true what Kelly told me in camp, I just have to think about now, not tomorrow. Maybe I am a very deep-thinker, too deep, I think.
