Finally, I'm done uploading the pics. I promised you guys of my update about my trip to Singapore, so here's it!
Day 1 (13 December)
Woke up at 4.45 am cause our flight is at 7.30 am. Showered and did a last-minute check in case I left out something. Drove to the airport. Dad dropped us at the main entrance of the LCC Terminal to check-in while he parked the car.
When we checked in, the Air Asia ground air crew told us that Mom’s passport had expired and she can’t board the plane. We were like “WHAT?!”. We begged the Malay guy and he said he can’t do so cause if he did, the airline have to pay a fine of RM 500. Yeah, then we went back to the car with Dad disappointed. Then, Mom said something about being able to do refunds and stuff, so Dad dropped Mom and Sis at the main entrance of the LCC Terminal again while we waited in the car. Then, Mom called and told us that we can go to Singapore! An Indian ground air crew had already printed out our tickets. I grabbed all of our luggage and ran (yes, I ran by myself with 3 luggage behind me) like a maniac on the loose. We waited in front of McDonald’s for Dad and guess who we bumped into? Khai Mun! Yeah, he is gonna visit his cousins there. But he’s flying with Tiger Airways and he’s staying at his cousins’ place in Bedok. We separated ways and he told me that we can go out for a yum cha session with him later in Singapore (but we didn’t anyways).
The boarding gate was crowded with passengers going to Indonesia and Phuket. Yeah, it was so stuffy there.
Boarded the plane around 7.20 am.
While walking to the airplane, I stopped and took this picture. By right, passengers are not allowed to do so. But I can't help it cause it was such a lovely morning. :)
The amount of passengers going to Singapore.
From my seat, I can see KLIA. And there's another plane preparing to take off. Before taking off, we managed to take a pic.
Preparing for take off...
... and we're off! Goodbye Malaysia. You can see the highways and roads from above. Electronic devices are not allowed to be used during take-off (I used Sis' digital camera to take these pics).
But if I didn't break the rules, how am I gonna show you all of these beautiful pictures? Behold, the beauty in the sky.
Breathtaking, ain't it? It's so beautiful way up there. And, and ,and; do you think the clouds look like sheeps? xD Me and Sis sat a row behind Mom and Dad. There’s this cute boy sitting in front of Mom and Dad who kept turning behind. I played peek-a-boo with him. But he just pointed to the window and cupped his hands on the window and looked at the beautiful clouds. -.-Had this for breakfast. Yes, 1901 hot dog! I didn't know they have it in the menu. See, it comes with Heinz ketchup sauce, relish (the green thingy), black pepper and mayoneise. It even comes with instructions on how to put the toppings on the hot dog. So cool, huh? Before I could rip off the ketchup packet, the air stewardess announced that we're landing in 5 minutes. I placed my hot dog on my lap and shut the table. But, I managed to put eveything on my hot dog and stuffed it down my throat.Unfortunately, my hot dog didn't look as good as the illustration. But it taste as good as the one that you eat at the 1901 stall. :D
Cargo ships.
The buildings of Singapore (this is only part of it)!
Okay, people. Prepare to land....
TOUCHDOWN, BABY!!!!! :D
By the time we landed, Singapore was already blazing with heat.
Finally, we landed at Changi Airport. Reached Changi Airport around 8.10 am.Landed in Terminal 1 (which is the budget terminal). Spot the banner with some of the Disney characters on it? The whole airport is decorated to its best with Christmas trees and Disney characters by the trees. It’s so freakishly nice, I tell you. ;)Candid by Sis.
Nice tree, huh? ;)
We walked to the Skytrain stop to go to Terminal 2 to take the MRT to the city.
We have to wait 2 minutes for the Skytrain to arrive. So, we ss-ed since we had nothing better to do. x)
On the way to Terminal 2, we passed by the airport's control tower.
Sis is a good tourist. This is a candid of her, reading the map of Singapore she took from the airport. I can gurantee you that you'll never get lost if you travel with her. ;)
:)
Saw this in Terminal 2. Ah, the spirit of Christmas. (:
Me with Pluto. Wanted to take a picture with Mickey at the other side of the Christmas tree, but there were a lot of people ss-ing there and impatient Mom and Dad don't wanna wait, so we just walked to the MRT station at the lower ground floor.
Travelling down the escalator.
Stopped by the ticket office to inquire about our MRT tickets.
Sis pretending to be 0.9 m so that she don't need a ticket. xD
Bought our tickets at the GMT (General Ticketing Machine). By that time, I was feeling all hyped up!
The standard MRT ticket.
The MRT wasn't packed at all, to my surprise. o.O
We do look alike, don't we? :D
The coolest parents on earth. But this is one of the few pictures of them. They're so camera shy in Singapore. So unlike them. :
Aha. Sis' turn to be camera shy...
Reaching Tanah Merah interchange. It was quite a long journey to the city by MRT. But we didn't wanna take a cab because it's like about $30 for peak hours.
The MRT railway line.
We took the MRT from the airport and stopped at Tanah Merah interchange.
Then, we went down at City Hall and stopped at Orchard.
Walked to Royal Plaza on Scotts at Scotts Road. The reindeer behind the glass of the hotel's restaurant.
Saw this as soon as we step into the hotel.
We made use of mirrors this time. ;)
While waiting to get our hotel key. :P
Room 912.
I found our hotel in the map. ;D
Told you I made good use of mirrors this trip. And presenting our tiny bathroom in our hotel room.
Dropped our luggage in our hotel room and Mom and Dad took a nap, Sis and I started flipping the TV channels. AXN, Star Movies, Star World, NHK, TV 3, RTM 2, ESPN, Star Sports and HBO are one of the few channels provided. We watched Deck The Halls on Star Movies. After the movie, we head down to the streets!
In the streets of Singapore!
Little Miss and Mr Men t-shirts have 20% discount! But it's still quite expensive if you convert to our currency. So, I didn't buy any. We stopped by a UOB bank cause Mom and Dad wanted to start an account in Singapore. While waiting, we took some pics. :)
Ooops. Caught in the act. Eeeeek! xD
Sis is so gonna kill me. She had warned me not to put this pic on my blog. But she's so freaking cute! How can I resist it? I'm sorry, jie... NOT! *sticks tongue out* xP
After sitting in the bank for more than 2 hours, we walked to Meritus Mandarin Hotel to have their famous Mandarin Chicken Rice for lunch.
We also ordered Deep-Fried Prawn Dumplings and Breaded Chicken Wings. The decoration on the table.
Candid of Sis and Dad.
Our drinks. The cup they use to serve the Chinese tea is amazingly huge.
Finally, the chicken rice is here!!!!
I'm really sorry if I make you guys hungry, but the food is seriously good!
After that, we walked back to the UOB bank cause Mom forgotten to sign a document. Then, we went to John Little next door for some shopping spree.
Walked to Takashimaya next. Stopped by a Louis Vuitton shop cause the Mom and Dad wanna have a look. But we had to queue up to get into the store! Yes, it’s so packed in the Louis Vuitton store.
Again, I saw two very nice pairs of Louis Vuitton heels. :D
This bear is soooooooo cute, right? :)
We were so lucky that day cause the Takashimaya toys sales was on!!!! Yes, it was so freaking packed with everyone pushing around. Most of them were doing their Christmas shopping.
It's a Winnie The Pooh pajamas for babies. It sooooooooo freaking cute!
Too bad I don't own a pair of Crocs myself. if not, I would've bought some of these back. Saw this in Royal Sporting House.
Headed into the department store next. Yes, it was packed with people doing their Christmas shopping. See these nice stuff above? Yeah, they were on sale too. But it's quite costly too. But I like it cause it's so bee-euu-tiii-fuuuuul. xD
Chocolates, truffles and biscuits made from Godiva chocolate. It's so droolicious! Had dinner at the food court in Takashimaya at 7.31 pm. We had a hard time looking for seats cause it’s the peak hour (dinner time). Luckily, we found seats for ourselves after a few minutes. Mom and I shared kimchi soup with rice and fish ball noodle soup. But I didn’t take pictures of our food cause we’re all too hungry. Sorry. But at least you won't drool in front of your computer screen. =D
Saw this in Watson's. It contains body shampoo in there, if you don't know. A great Christmas gift.
We did our Christmas shopping in Watson's too. The Watson's stores there have so many cool stuff compared to the Watson's stores back home.
Little Miss and Mr Men on the glass of a Bossini store.
After that, me and Mom went to Zara while Sis and Dad headed to Hugo Boss. After Mom paid for her oversized shirt and tights, we meet up with Sis and Dad at Hugo Boss. We left Takashimaya for the streets after Dad paid for the items he and Mom purchased.
The streets of Singapore at night time.
Now, this is really cool. In Singapore, there are lots of open-air double decker buses. So, when we were taking pictures in front of Shaw House, we saw this whole group of ang mohs on one of those buses cheering as the bus stopped at a traffic light. A few of the dudes on the bus stripped off their shirts, and I can’t help but to stare cause most of the are seriously H-O-T! I could’ve stood there until the bus is completely out of my sight, but Mom just had to pull me and Sis away. 8D
Street performers.
Boy, we were glad when we reached the entrance of our hotel after a day of hardcore shopping. Reached our hotel at 11.30 pm. Dad asked us to follow him for supper, but after I showered, I fell in to a dreamless sleep while watching Liverpool playing with Hull.
Will be posting about Day 2 soon. Wait for my update, alright? :)

If it's a love story, I'll say yes.
